HILLCREST was named after the street we've all lived on and loved on and made this record on. The record is sprinkled with allusions to people, places, and stories rooted in the City Beautiful. It's an album of lyrical confrontations with longing for what once was, overwhelming feelings of self doubt, and mortality. But it's also an exploration of the consequences of conviction, love, friendship, and family, and the power in turning sadness into radness.
